Introduction:
If you think your construction auditor is prepared for AI, prove it to yourself by asking one
simple question:
Does the Construction Close-Out Audit include conf irmation that the
project’s data has been delivered to the Owner’s IT experts and that this
data is now safe and catalogued? 1
Your construction close-out audit will check to confirm the security and storage of such
project deliverables as 1) as-build drawings, 2) attic stock, 3) warranties, and 4) operating
manuals. What about the project’s data? Well, if your auditor does not also confirm the
security and storage of the project’s data then the auditor is likely not keeping up with where
AI and other high-tech tools are taking Owner project management.
